Rhdp mankono kicks off political season with focus on grassroots and future strategy

Mankono – The Rassemblement des Houphouëtistes pour la Démocratie et la Paix (RHDP) in Mankono, encompassing both the commune and sub-prefecture, officially commenced its political season on July 17 and 18, 2026. This pivotal event focused on a comprehensive review of the 2025 electoral outcomes, dedicated training for party members, and a strategic initiative to invigorate its foundational structures.

Cissé Namory, the departmental secretary for the RHDP, whose political oversight spans the Mankono commune and sub-prefecture, emphatically reiterated the steadfast commitment of party members across the Béré region to bolster the influence and strength of the ruling party.

He lauded the RHDP’s decisive victory in the recent legislative elections within his political department, specifically highlighting the success of Deputy Salimata Fofana épouse Méité. However, he also expressed concern over instances of indiscipline observed among certain members, suggesting that such conduct had, at times, received backing from particular party executives.

« We bear a fundamental obligation of sincerity towards our dedicated members to safeguard the essential cohesion and effectiveness of our political endeavors, » he declared, urging for enhanced discipline and unwavering unity within the RHDP ranks.

This crucial political re-entry was structured around two significant phases. The inaugural day featured a thought-provoking seminar centered on the theme: « Extracting insights from the recent electoral contest and charting the trajectory for the forthcoming activist cycle. »

During this occasion, Professor Soro David, the Deputy National Secretary overseeing the RHDP’s political structures, delivered an insightful address on « The Role of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 in Advancing the Béré Region’s Development. »

Professor Soro detailed the substantial progress achieved in Béré through the PND 2021-2025, subsequently outlining the promising opportunities presented by the new PND 2026-2030. « The Béré region has reaped considerable benefits from the PND 2021-2025 and stands to gain even more significantly from the PND 2026-2030, » he asserted, referencing a multitude of planned initiatives across the education, health, and infrastructure sectors.

Furthermore, Professor Soro commended the dedication demonstrated by the region’s leaders and prominent figures who stand in solidarity with President Alassane Ouattara. He emphasized that their active participation represents a vital catalyst for Béré’s ongoing development and for strengthening governmental efforts throughout this part of Côte d’Ivoire.
