By early Friday morning, police reported a total of ten arrests linked to post-match revelries in Paris and its immediate outskirts. Three individuals were detained for phone theft in the capital, four for violent offenses involving weapons and criminal conspiracy in Paris, and three more for discharging fireworks in Seine-Saint-Denis. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether these arrests led to formal custody proceedings.

Minor injury reported in Paris scuffle

In Paris, a technical issue at the Grand Rex cinema forced the cancellation of the match broadcast. Fans quickly relocated to nearby bars, where they watched the game before spilling onto the streets at the final whistle. While their presence briefly disrupted traffic flow, police intervention ensured order was restored without further incident.

In the city’s 7th arrondissement, a late-night altercation near the Quai Jacques Chirac resulted in a minor injury after a supporter was stabbed in the hip. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Security agencies had previously flagged this quarterfinal match as a high-risk event due to its high stakes and late broadcast time. A security briefing noted that “public gatherings accompanied by pyrotechnics were likely, regardless of the match outcome.”
