According to a provisional report issued Friday morning, ten individuals were taken into custody in connection with the celebrations in Paris and its immediate suburbs. Three were detained for phone theft in central Paris, four for violent offenses involving weapons and conspiracy to commit violence—also in Paris—and three others for discharging fireworks in Seine-Saint-Denis. It remains unclear at this stage whether any of these arrests resulted in formal charges.

In Paris, technical issues at the Grand Rex cinema led to the cancellation of the match broadcast. Fans relocated to nearby bars to watch the game. After the final whistle, crowds spilled onto the streets, disrupting traffic until police intervention restored order on the sidewalks without further incident.

In the 7th arrondissement, along quai Jacques Chirac, a late-night scuffle broke out around 12:30 a.m. between supporters, resulting in one person sustaining a minor knife wound to the hip. The injured individual was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

It is worth noting that authorities had flagged this quarter-final clash between France and Morocco as a high-risk fixture. “This match was identified as particularly high-risk,” read an internal security briefing. “The elimination-stage nature of the game and the high stakes of a potential semi-final berth heightened concerns—despite the late broadcast time (10 p.m.).” The briefing further warned that “public gatherings accompanied by pyrotechnic devices were anticipated, regardless of the match outcome.”
