Journalist Roberto Pruzzo expressed frustration over Greenwood’s final destination, stating that such negotiations rarely conclude satisfactorily. « Greenwood? These kinds of deals always end badly. You never truly know if a player genuinely wants to join a club, and in the end, they often end up somewhere else—like Fenerbahçe. His colleague Fernando Orsi added to the criticism, questioning Greenwood’s reliability as a professional. « Football won’t stop if Greenwood doesn’t come. He doesn’t strike me as trustworthy, and for half the price, you could find a player who better fits Gasperini’s system. The World Cup is a showcase for talent, after all,» Orsi noted.
