PSG leading race for France star Maghnes Akliouche ahead of summer

While all eyes are on the 2026 World Cup, Paris Saint-Germain is planning its summer transfer window with Gonçalo Ramos expected to pack his bags soon. Luis Campos appears to be targeting at least three new recruits according to the latest whispers, and one of them could be a young Ligue 1 talent.

In recent years, PSG has completely changed direction. Gone are the enormous transfers and stars; the capital club now focuses on young talents with a sort of post-formation that has already paid off. This is particularly the case with Désiré Doué or João Neves, prodigies who have become undisputed starters in Paris.

Akliouche on the move

This trend could continue with a young attacking midfielder from Ligue 1. That player is clearly Maghnes Akliouche, already tracked last summer and now seemingly on his way out in this transfer window. But do not expect him to reveal anything about his future. “What matters to me is enjoying myself, continuing to be happy on the pitch and having blue skies above me,” the France international said a few months ago. “I want to give pleasure to the fans, to my teammates, to repay the trust Monaco has shown me. And above all, keep my desire to improve and be more decisive. Talking about anything else makes no sense today.”

PSG in pole position

Currently at the 2026 World Cup with the France national team, he will nevertheless have to address his future at some point. Maghnes Akliouche has a high chance of leaving AS Monaco this summer, with several clubs showing interest. PSG is among them and is currently the strong favourite to secure his signature. In the principality, they are waiting for an offer for the player, who is valued at around €50M by market estimates.
