During his state visit to Paris, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, the transitional leader of Gabon, was welcomed with all the pomp and circumstance reserved for heads of state. The Élysée Palace hosted a lavish dinner, where Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, greeted the Gabonese delegation with traditional diplomatic courtesies.
