The Olympique Lyonnais and AJ Auxerre clash is pending final scheduling as it hinges on the club’s Champions League qualification path. According to league regulations, the fixture’s date will be confirmed only after the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League is decided.

The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has outlined the exact conditions under which the match will take place. If Olympique Lyonnais advances to the Champions League playoffs, the Lyon versus Auxerre game will kick off on Friday, September 4th at 7:00 PM.

Should the club fall short in the third qualifying round, the fixture will instead be played on Saturday, September 5th at 8:45 PM. Regardless of the outcome, fans can catch the action exclusively on Ligue 1+.

Earlier, Olympique Lyonnais sought to postpone its opening Ligue 1 fixture to better prepare for potential Champions League playoffs later in August. However, the LFP denied the request, ensuring the match remains on schedule.
