The Kazakhstan government views Morocco as a key strategic partner, opening new pathways for deepening economic exchanges and bilateral investments, as declared by Alibek Kuantyrov, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, during his official visit to Rabat.

During a joint press briefing with Ryad Mezzour, Morocco’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Kuantyrov emphasized the importance of direct trade between the two nations. He highlighted Kazakhstan’s keen interest in importing Moroccan goods—bypassing intermediaries—to access premium-quality products from the Kingdom.

The Kazakh delegation, leading a high-level trade mission, also expressed ambitions to expand exports of wheat, processed goods, and other commodities to Morocco. Kuantyrov pointed out the strong political alignment between the two countries on global issues, along with mutual support in international forums.

For his part, Minister Mezzour reaffirmed Morocco’s commitment to fostering deeper economic relations with Kazakhstan. He noted that Kazakhstan possesses valuable resources Morocco needs, including natural gas, grains, and meat products. These resources, he stated, could play a crucial role in enhancing Morocco’s food supply resilience, supporting purchasing power, and easing household expenses.

Both nations concluded their discussions by reasserting their dedication to fostering a robust, long-term commercial partnership. The goal is to create a direct and sustainable economic framework that strengthens bilateral trade, ensures reliable supply chains, and encourages mutual investments.
