Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) Consultative Group’s investor-focused session for 2026-2030 kicked off today at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
The event marks a pivotal moment in mobilizing private investments to drive Côte d’Ivoire’s ambitious growth agenda. Speaking to a packed room of over 700 investors from allied nations, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of this gathering as a platform for collaboration between public authorities and the private sector.
A shared vision for economic transformation
In his address, Robert Beugré Mambé emphasized the critical role of private investors in shaping the country’s economic future. « Your presence here today reflects the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory. As key partners, your investments will be instrumental in building a more competitive, job-creating economy, » he stated.
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the engine of economic transformation. With Côte d’Ivoire’s economy demonstrating resilience amid global challenges—achieving an average growth rate of 6.5% in recent years—he reassured investors of the nation’s strong standing among Africa’s most dynamic economies.
Strategic sectors and investment opportunities
Robert Beugré Mambé outlined key priority areas outlined in the PND 2026-2030 where investment is urgently needed:
- Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition;
- Strategic infrastructure development, including transportation, digital technologies, and logistics to boost competitiveness;
- Human capital investment, innovation, and essential services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy.
He described the session as a catalyst for accelerating investments in these high-impact sectors, reinforcing Côte d’Ivoire’s appeal as a prime investment destination.
The first day of the consultative group, dedicated to institutional partners and national development strategy presentations, drew over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.
Investor confidence and commitment
In a show of solidarity, leaders from major business confederations reaffirmed their support for Côte d’Ivoire’s development vision. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of Morocco’s General Confederation of Enterprises (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), all expressed readiness to contribute significantly through substantial financial commitments to the PND 2026-2030.
