In a heartfelt address marking Côte d’Ivoire’s 66th Independence Day, former parliamentarian Méambly Tié Évariste reflected on his decades of public service and unveiled a bold new direction for his career. His message resonated deeply with citizens across the Cavally, Guémon and Tonkpi regions, where he once served as both Deputy and Regional Council President.

“Nation-building extends far beyond political office,” he declared. “True service thrives wherever expertise, dedication and vision can uplift our nation and our continent.” His words carried the weight of experience—ten years in the National Assembly, leadership of the Guémon Regional Council, and years as head of the Agir pour le Peuple parliamentary group.

In his Independence Day message, Évariste paid tribute to the unwavering trust of Ivorians who elected him and inspired his academic journey. Over the past seven years, he pursued advanced studies while maintaining a demanding professional and public life. His academic achievements include a Master’s in organizational management from Tunisia, a Master’s in public policy from Sciences Po Paris (specializing in African potential), and he is now preparing for his PhD defense in management sciences, scheduled for October 2026.

Alongside his studies, he has shared his insights through writing. His published works include Vaincre ou l’art de transformer l’adversité en engagement—a reflection on resilience—and Partenariat public-privé et financement des infrastructures routières en milieu rural, which explores innovative funding models for rural infrastructure. A third book, due in October 2026, will focus on entrepreneurship, real estate and economic development.

While his political career flourished within the RHDP, his entrepreneurial activities expanded beyond Côte d’Ivoire as early as 2012. Since 2020, he has based his business operations in France, building international partnerships that align with his vision for African growth.

With his doctorate on the horizon, Évariste announced a strategic pivot toward full-time entrepreneurship, investment and job creation. He emphasized that his decision reflects a deliberate choice to dedicate himself to structural projects and international collaboration for Africa’s progress. “This transition is not a break with the past,” he stated. “It is a continuation—rooted in gratitude and a renewed commitment to peace, education, innovation and youth empowerment.”

In closing, he expressed deep gratitude to the people of Cavally, Guémon and Tonkpi for their lifelong support, urging them to uphold the values of unity, hard work and solidarity. “Let us reaffirm our shared dream of a united, prosperous Côte d’Ivoire—one that looks resolutely toward the future,” he concluded. “May God bless every family.
