A historic sale for Paris Saint-Germain

The 25-year-old Portuguese striker initially joined Paris Saint-Germain in August 2023 from Benfica, first on a paid loan worth 20 million euros, which then transitioned into a permanent transfer valued at approximately 65 million euros. His upcoming move to AC Milan is set to make him the most expensive acquisition in the Rossoneri’s history, surpassing the 50 million euros paid for Rafael Leao when he joined from Lille in 2019.

From the Parisian club’s perspective, this transaction represents an exceptional financial success. Only Neymar’s transfer to Al-Hilal in 2023, which commanded 90 million euros, has generated a higher revenue for the capital club.
