Promoted to the Premier League for the 2026-2027 campaign, Coventry City has officially announced that Frank Onyeka has joined the Sky Blues on a permanent transfer from Brentford.
The Nigerian midfielder initially arrived at Coventry on loan in January, and the permanent move from the Bees has now been activated following the opening of the summer transfer window. The Nigeria international played a key role in helping Frank Lampard’s side secure the Sky Bet Championship title. He made 14 appearances and scored a stunning goal in a crucial match against Derby County last April.
The 28-year-old brings substantial Premier League experience, having played 75 top-flight matches during his time at Brentford. The length of the contract has not been disclosed.
