Bénin officials undergo AI training in India for better elections

A delegation of officials from Benin’s Autonomous National Electoral Commission (CENA) is currently in New Delhi, India, for a five-day intensive training program focused on leveraging artificial intelligence in electoral processes. The session, running from July 6 to 10, 2026, is part of India’s broader initiative to share technical expertise with electoral bodies across Africa.

Organized by the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program, the training covers critical aspects of AI applications in election administration.
