PSG Eyes Ferran Torres as Barca Seeks Better Transfer Fee

The summer transfer window has officially opened, with Anthony Gordon’s move from Newcastle to the FC Barcelona for €80 million marking a significant development.

The French Ligue 1 giants are reportedly interested in signing Ferran Torres, who is currently with the US national team at the 2026 World Cup. The 26-year-old Spanish forward has been linked to a move to Paris, with coach Luis Enrique said to be keen on bringing him back to the club where he played under Enrique’s predecessor, Pep Guardiola.

According to Florian Plettenberg, the FC Barcelona has been put on the transfer market for Ferran Torres, with the French club willing to pay a high fee to secure his services. The Spanish forward’s current contract at Barca is set to expire in 2024, and it seems that the club’s board is open to selling him.

The issue of transfer fees remains a major obstacle in the negotiations between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona. The French club has been reported to be interested in signing Ferran Torres, but they need to convince Barca to lower their asking price for the forward.

While it’s unclear whether Ferran Torres will stay at FC Barcelona or move to Paris Saint-Germain, one thing is certain: the transfer market is heating up, and top clubs are willing to spend big to secure top talent. The future of this Spanish forward looks uncertain, but his next destination remains a mystery for now.
