The Attorney General of the King near the Court of Cassation and President of the Public Prosecution, Hicham Balaoui, held a working session in Rabat on Thursday, July 9, with Chad’s Inspector General of the Independent Anti-Corruption Authority, Ousmane Abderamane Djougourou. This meeting was part of a working visit aimed at exploring Morocco’s expertise in preventing and combating corruption.
During the discussions, Hicham Balaoui outlined Morocco’s key anti-corruption framework, highlighting its legal and institutional mechanisms alongside the penal policies implemented by the Public Prosecution. The talks also delved into comparative best practices in tackling corruption, as noted in an official statement.
The Chadian delegation gained firsthand insights into several initiatives led by the Public Prosecution, including a dedicated hotline for reporting corruption and embezzlement, as well as the digital platform e-TABLIGH. This tool enables citizens to report suspected corrupt acts while ensuring secure processing through cutting-edge digital technologies, the statement added.
