Liverpool clinched a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League by battling to a 1-1 draw against Brentford at Anfield on the final day of the Premier League campaign.

The Reds entered the match knowing a point would secure them fifth place and a return to Europe’s elite club competition. Curtis Jones delivered the crucial goal just before the hour mark, with Mohamed Salah providing the assist in what marked the Egyptian winger’s final appearance for the club.

Jones’ effort came after Brentford’s Kevin Schade had equalized, canceling out an early Liverpool attack. Despite the setback, Jürgen Klopp’s successor, Arne Slot, guided his side to their objective with a resilient display.
