Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé launched the second day of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, bringing together more than 700 investors to energize the national economy.
The second day of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to private investors, kicked off on July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
The Prime Minister opened the session by highlighting the event’s core mission: to rally private capital and drive the economy forward. More than 700 investors from allied nations had gathered in Abidjan, marking a strong turnout for the initiative.
Addressing a room filled with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and private-sector delegates, he emphasized that this gathering was not just a forum but a pivotal platform for fostering collaboration between the government and private actors. « This is where shared visions for national development take shape,» he declared.
« Dear partners, » he continued, « your commitment to this journey reflects the trust you place in Ivory Coast’s economic potential and growth outlook. You are the driving force behind our ambition to build a more competitive, job-creating economy. » The Prime Minister stressed that private investment would be the backbone of Ivory Coast’s economic transformation.
He underscored the government’s strategic pivot toward private-sector-led growth, pointing to the nation’s proven economic resilience. With an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years, Ivory Coast stands out as one of Africa’s most vibrant economies. « A thriving market awaits you, investors, » he stated.
The day’s agenda was clear: accelerate funding for priority sectors outlined in the NDP 2026-2030. Key focus areas included:
- Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition;
- Strategic infrastructure development, such as transport, digital networks, and logistics, to enhance competitiveness;
- Investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy.
The Prime Minister also recapped the first day of the Consultative Group, which had focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Ivory Coast’s development strategy. That session had drawn over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including domestic stakeholders.
In response, leaders from Ivory Coast’s private sector and international business networks reaffirmed their confidence in the government’s vision. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivory Coast Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Moroccan Employers’ Association (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), all pledged substantial financial commitments to support the NDP 2026-2030.
