Côte d’Ivoire sets the stage for economic transformation with 2026-2030 development plan
Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé inaugurated the second phase of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 consultation group, bringing together over 700 investors to fuel the nation’s economic momentum.
The second session of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 consultative group, exclusively focused on investors, kicked off on 9 July 2026 at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
« This marks a pivotal moment in our consultative journey, centered on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation, » declared the Prime Minister. « Our goal is clear: to mobilize the private sector’s financial muscle to turn our development ambitions into reality. I’m delighted to see over 700 investors from friendly nations joining this vital discussion. »
With corporate leaders, private investors, and business delegates filling the venue, the Head of Government emphasized the event’s role as a high-level platform for dialogue and alignment with the private sector’s vision for shared progress.
« Your partnership is a vote of confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic trajectory, » he told the audience. « Together, we can build a more competitive, job-generating economy. Success hinges on your willingness to invest in our shared future. »
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the engine of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the country’s proven resilience—evidenced by an average annual growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—secures its place among Africa’s most vibrant economies.
« This is a market brimming with potential, » he stated. « Today’s discussions will fast-track investments in key PND 2026-2030 priorities, including industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, the expansion of critical infrastructure such as transport, digital networks, and logistics to enhance competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to drive a more productive and inclusive economy. »
He also highlighted that the first day of the consultation, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including the host nation.
In response, industry leaders voiced their strong backing. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI); Mehdi Tazi, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and Chair of the Africa Committee of the French Business Movement (MEDEF); and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), all reaffirmed their faith in the Ivorian authorities’ vision and pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030 implementation.
