Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the Consultative Group for the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030, specifically tailored for investors, was inaugurated in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire. The event was led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, who emphasized the critical role of private investment in driving the country’s ambitious growth agenda.
“This marks a pivotal phase in our engagement with investors, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders committed to value creation,” he stated. “The response has been exceptional, with over 700 investors from friendly nations joining us to explore opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire.”
Addressing a gathering of business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, the Prime Minister highlighted the forum as a unique platform for fostering dialogue and aligning shared development goals. He underscored the importance of private sector involvement in realizing Côte d’Ivoire’s economic ambitions, noting that their participation validates the nation’s growth potential and competitive edge.
“Your commitment is invaluable,” he remarked. “By investing in Côte d’Ivoire, you are not just supporting a resilient economy but also shaping a future of greater competitiveness and job creation. The success of our vision depends on your active role in driving this transformation.”
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the engine of economic modernization. He pointed to Côte d’Ivoire’s proven resilience and adaptability, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years as evidence of its status as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.
“This is a market brimming with potential,” he declared. “Today’s discussions will unlock investments in key sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local value addition, infrastructure expansion, and human capital development. These initiatives will enhance our competitiveness, strengthen logistics, and accelerate digital transformation—all essential for a more inclusive and productive economy.”
He also noted that the first day of the forum, focused on institutional partners and development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, further demonstrating international confidence in the nation’s trajectory.
Representing the investor community, leaders from the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), the French Business Movement (MEDEF), the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) echoed their strong confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s development vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030, reaffirming their readiness to contribute to the nation’s economic evolution.
