Ivorian PM rallies investors at PND 2026-2030 consultative forum

Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Investor Consultative Group kicked off in grand style at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan, with Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé taking the helm of proceedings. The session drew over 700 private investors from allied nations, all eager to explore opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire’s burgeoning economy.

In his opening address, the Prime Minister emphasized the pivotal role of private investment in driving Côte d’Ivoire’s development agenda. « Today marks another milestone in our collective journey to foster investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation, » he stated. « Your presence here underscores the confidence you place in our nation’s economic potential and growth trajectory. Together, we can build a more competitive, job-creating economy. »

The event brought together business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives who traveled to Abidjan to engage in high-level discussions. The Prime Minister highlighted the forum as a critical platform for aligning public and private visions, ensuring that economic transformation remains inclusive and sustainable.

« Côte d’Ivoire is not just an emerging market—it is a resilient one, » he asserted. « Over recent years, our economy has demonstrated remarkable adaptability amid global uncertainties, achieving an average growth rate of 6.5%. This positions us among Africa’s most dynamic economies, and today’s opportunities reflect that momentum. »

The Prime Minister outlined key sectors earmarked for investment under the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local raw material processing, infrastructure development (transport, digital, logistics), human capital investment, innovation, and productivity-enhancing services. « These are the pillars that will propel our economy forward, » he noted.

The first day of the consultative group, focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including local stakeholders.

In a show of solidarity, representatives from the private sector echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the Confédération générale des Entreprises de Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), along with Mehdi Tazi of Morocco’s CGEM and Mohamed Gouled of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their commitment to Côte d’Ivoire’s development vision. They pledged substantial financial contributions to support the PND 2026-2030, signaling a strong partnership between the public and private sectors.
