Ousmane Dembélé’s fitness confirmed ahead of Champions League showdown with Arsenal
The 2025 Ballon d’Or winner, Ousmane Dembélé, who suffered a right calf strain in PSG’s recent Ligue 1 fixture against Paris FC (1-2, May 17), took to the field in Budapest today for a solo fitness test at the Puskás Arena.
In a press briefing held Friday afternoon, Dembélé addressed lingering concerns about his availability for the Champions League final. “I never feared missing this final,” he stated confidently. “I’ve had ten to fifteen days to prepare. The staff managed the season brilliantly. I’m at 100%, the team is ready, and we’ve approached this match with total calm. We’re hoping everything goes smoothly on the night.”
Just minutes after speaking, the French international put his words into action on the training pitch. Under the watchful eyes of coaches and medical staff, Dembélé completed several short sprints alongside his teammates, who were working on striking drills. The session concluded without incident, and he seamlessly rejoined the group for the remainder of the workout.
