A fatal road accident occurred this Thursday in Koundoul, a suburb on the outskirts of N’Djamena, claiming the life of a motorcyclist. The collision involved a heavy-duty truck and resulted in a tragic chain of events.

The motorcyclist was struck by the truck while traveling near Koundoul, just beyond the capital’s perimeter. The impact was so severe that the rider and the motorcycle were ejected onto the roadway. According to witnesses, the victim was carrying a fuel can at the time of the crash. Upon hitting the ground, the can ruptured, releasing flammable liquid that ignited instantly.
The resulting fire engulfed both the motorcycle and the rider before emergency responders could arrive. Despite immediate efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have since cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to clarify the accident’s precise causes.
