Chad’s president concludes UAE visit, returns to N’Djamena

Chad’s transitional leader, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, arrived back in N’Djamena following an official trip to the United Arab Emirates, where he held high-level talks with the UAE president.

Chad's president concludes UAE visit, returns to N'Djamena

President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno returned to N’Djamena late in the evening, wrapping up a significant diplomatic mission to the United Arab Emirates. The visit underscored the strengthening ties between Chad and the Gulf nation.

During his stay, the Chadian leader held two separate meetings with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The first discussion took place at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, while the second occurred at the Chadian president’s official residence.

Upon touchdown at N’Djamena International Airport, President Déby was greeted by a high-powered delegation. The welcoming committee included Prime Minister Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, key government ministers, the Secretary-General of the Presidency, the Chief of Staff, the Deputy Civil Cabinet Director, the Deputy Private Secretary, and the Mayor of N’Djamena.
