Chad president wraps up UAE visit, returns to N’Djamena

Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, Chad’s head of state, has returned to N’Djamena following an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, where high-level talks were held with UAE leadership.

Chad president concludes UAE visit, returns to N'Djamena

Chad’s transitional leader, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, touched down in N’Djamena this evening after completing a state visit to the United Arab Emirates. The trip included two pivotal meetings with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan—one at the Presidential Palace and another at the Chadian leader’s private residence.

Upon landing, Déby Itno was greeted by a high-profile delegation that included Prime Minister Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, key cabinet members, and N’Djamena’s mayor. The entourage also featured the Minister of State, Secretary-General of the Presidency, the Presidential Chief of Staff, the Deputy Civil Cabinet Director, and the Deputy Special Advisor.
