Cameroon transport ministry explores new measures to secure official documents

The Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallè Bibéhè, met with officials from the National Printing Office and Impact Palmarès R&D on June 30, 2026, to review technological solutions aimed at strengthening the security of administrative documents and transport titles.

The Ministry of Transport continues its efforts to modernize and secure administrative documents. In this context, Minister Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallè Bibéhè granted an audience to the Director General of the National Printing Office, Oyono Bika Pierre, and the General Manager of Impact Palmarès R&D, Léonie Kwekam.

During the meeting, Impact Palmarès R&D presented a technical solution based on several innovative technologies designed to enhance the protection of official documents against counterfeiting. The proposed system would make documents harder to reproduce while simplifying their authentication.

Discussions also covered the security of transport titles issued by the ministry, secure marking of letterhead paper, and potential improvements in the traceability of administrative documents to optimize non-tax revenues.

While praising the potential of the presented solutions, the Transport Minister emphasized the need for further technical, legal, administrative, and financial assessments before any implementation. This reform aims to enhance the reliability and security of official documents.
