On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, Burkina Faso’s Prime Minister, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Inter-African Federation of Insurance Advisors (FIAC) led by its Acting President, Vakaramoko Samaké. The visit aimed to discuss the key challenges and opportunities surrounding the 16th annual FIAC General Assembly, scheduled to take place in Ouagadougou from June 10 to 13, 2026.

Under the theme “The role of insurance brokers in expanding access and enhancing coverage rates,”, the upcoming assembly seeks to position insurance brokers as pivotal players in financial inclusion across the continent.

The regional gathering will bring together nearly 200 insurance brokers from 14 member countries of the Inter-African Conference of Insurance Markets (CIMA), as well as representatives from Guinea-Conakry and Ghana. Following the meeting, the FIAC Acting President expressed his appreciation for the Prime Minister’s personal commitment to sponsoring the event.
