The University of Lomé (UL) is significantly expanding its global outreach. The distinguished institution formally entered into a comprehensive cooperation framework agreement with Creighton University, a prominent Jesuit university situated in Omaha, Nebraska, United States, on Friday, June 5, 2026.
This pivotal agreement received signatures from Professor Kossivi Hounaké, President of the University of Lomé, and Reverend Father Daniel Hendrickson, President of Creighton University. This collaborative venture aims to strengthen their joint efforts across key areas including academic training, advanced research initiatives, and the mutual exchange of knowledge.
The accord outlines provisions for establishing shared educational and research programs, alongside fostering increased mobility for students, faculty members, and researchers. Furthermore, it paves the way for hosting joint colloquiums, specialized seminars, and other scientific endeavors that serve the common interests of both institutions.
Both academic bodies are committed to promoting the sharing of valuable academic resources and nurturing the development of collaborative projects. A stringent focus will be placed on safeguarding intellectual property rights and ensuring the strict confidentiality of all information exchanged during research activities.
A five-year commitment
This agreement, initially set for a renewable five-year term, ushers in fresh opportunities for scientific and academic cooperation, ultimately benefiting the entire university community.
