After a trophyless season, Real Madrid is determined to strengthen its squad this summer to avoid a repeat of that scenario. Several names have been linked with the Spanish giants, including Michael Olise. However, Bayern Munich has just made an announcement that could cool the hopes of the Merengue.

Real Madrid has still not digested its blank season. The Madrid club intends to avoid a similar scenario next campaign and therefore plans to reinforce José Mourinho’s squad. Names have multiplied in recent weeks, including that of Michael Olise. The 24-year-old, currently playing in the 2026 World Cup with the France national team, has shone for Bayern Munich. The Bavarians have directly responded to the Merengue regarding a potential transfer of the French international.
‘We are not a selling club’
“As I have already said, if Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez had an offer in mind, he can spare himself the trouble because we do not want to sell Michael Olise. Bayern Munich maintains excellent relations with Real Madrid, and for that reason, they contacted me to say, on one hand, that they have absolutely no contact with Michael Olise, and on the other hand, that they do not want constant speculation in the media. He is a Bayern Munich player and has a long-term contract. And we are not a selling club,” responded Herbert Hainer, president of Bayern Munich.
Another transfer market rejection for Real Madrid
Real Madrid now knows where it stands regarding Michael Olise. After Julián Álvarez, the La Liga side faces another rejection in the transfer market. It remains to be seen whether the Casa Blanca will persist for the 24-year-old winger or activate another option in the transfer window. Story to follow…
