During an address to parliamentarians on Friday, Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko denounced what he termed “a tyranny of the West,” asserting that it seeks to “impose homosexuality on the rest of the world.” He categorically rejected any notion of a moratorium on the implementation of the new law, which tightens sanctions against homosexual acts in the predominantly Muslim West African country.
