Senegal’s political arena shaken by Waly Diouf Bodiang’s scathing remarks against Serigne Gueye Diop

A sharp political confrontation has erupted in Senegal after Waly Diouf Bodiang, Director General of the Autonomous Port of Dakar, launched a fiery critique against Serigne Gueye Diop, labeling his recent statements as a “media cover-up” following what he described as a “fiasco.” The heated exchange has intensified debates about the country’s political future and the rising influence of the PASTEF party.

In a social media post that has since gone viral, Waly Diouf Bodiang, a key figure in Senegal’s economic sector, took aim at Serigne Gueye Diop, the minister in question, accusing him of attempting to manipulate public perception following a controversial episode. The outspoken statement has drawn widespread attention, with many questioning the implications for national stability.

The Director General’s message also extended beyond Serigne Gueye Diop, targeting a broader group of political figures.
