As France grapples with an unrelenting heatwave, the Paris Saint-Germain squad has traded scorching temperatures for a more favorable climate in Budapest. The Hungarian capital is set to host the highly anticipated UEFA Champions League final this Saturday, May 30, between PSG and Arsenal.

The French delegation arrived in Budapest on Friday morning, leaving behind the sweltering conditions of the Hexagon. While Paris simmers under intense heat, the players will find relief in the milder conditions awaiting them in Eastern Europe.

Perfect football weather predicted

The matchday forecast for Budapest looks ideal for high-stakes football. With no rain expected and temperatures capped at a comfortable 24°C, the 22 players on the pitch won’t have to contend with extreme heat or adverse weather.

The unusual kickoff time of 6 PM local time means the game will unfold under overcast skies, though the absence of precipitation should ensure dry conditions throughout the encounter. This timing also aligns with cooler evening temperatures, enhancing player comfort.

A smooth arrival in Hungary

The PSG delegation was greeted by sunny skies and temperatures around 20°C upon landing in Budapest. Training sessions are scheduled to begin at 4:45 PM, following Luis Enrique’s press conference at the Puskás Aréna.

Luis Enrique has confirmed a full-strength squad for the final, with no absentees from the lineup announced on Friday. Players like Lucas Chevalier, Achraf Hakimi, and Ousmane Dembélé—who have faced recent fitness concerns—are all included in the traveling party.

The French giants are bidding to secure back-to-back Champions League titles, adding extra incentive to perform under the favorable conditions in Budapest.
