Brayan Yebga Miyogog receives the Prix d’Excellence de l’Étudiant Africain in the French capital
On 27 June 2026, a remarkable ceremony took place in Paris, France, bringing together prominent scientific, cultural and diplomatic figures. It was during this gathering that Brayan Yebga Miyogog, a former student of the Institut Africain d’Informatique du Cameroun (IAI-Cameroun) and the Centre d’Excellence Technologique Paul Biya, was officially awarded the prestigious “Prix d’Excellence de l’Étudiant Africain” (PEEA). The prize, conferred by the association of the same name led by Géraude Akakpo, celebrates resilience, outstanding academic performance and an ethical commitment to impactful leadership from Africa on the global stage.
This international recognition shines a light on the solid training that Brayan received in software engineering at IAI-Cameroun, an institution managed by resident representative Armand Claude Abanda, who also holds the UNESCO Chair in Central Africa for Access to ICTs. The Silver Prize specifically honours students from the African diaspora and the continent who demonstrate perseverance, dedication and academic excellence.
By earning this award, Brayan Yebga Miyogog has also highlighted the sustained expertise of IAI-Cameroun. The young laureate himself acknowledged that the qualities instilled at the Centre d’Excellence Technologique Paul Biya—rigour, discipline, a taste for well-executed work and perseverance—have made him a model of success. “On the big day, I will carry the colours of IAI. In my speech and exchanges, I will remind everyone where I come from and the quality of the training I received there. It is a pride to represent the school before this audience,” he expressed. His words reflect the pride of IAI and its top management, who tirelessly work to place highly competent young professionals into the job market.
A few weeks prior, the AgriGuardian platform, for which Brayan Yebga Miyogog is one of the main contributors, won the “Prix du Public TechforTech” at the Petit Poucet 2026 competition. This further underscores his commitment to innovation and the practical application of his skills.
It is worth noting that Mr. Miyogog currently serves as a trainer and junior architect in systems, networks and cybersecurity, based in Montpellier, France. This digital virtuoso combines advanced expertise in computing, digital security and artificial intelligence, making him a standout figure in the field.
