Ousmane Sonko and PASTEF inaugurate new departmental headquarters in Linguère after extensive Jolof tour

The PASTEF-Les Patriotes party has successfully concluded an impactful 48-hour political tour across the Jolof region. Delegations, personally led by party leader Ousmane Sonko, along with Minister of State Habib Sy and numerous national executives and coalition allies, traversed all 19 communes of the Linguère department – from Dahra to Barkédji, including Sagatta and Yang-Yang.

This intensive immersion into the heart of Jolof served as a powerful demonstration of the party’s political strength and deep local roots. The itinerary featured courtesy visits and constructive exchanges with respected religious and customary authorities, complemented by strategic working sessions with the party’s vital grassroots structures, encompassing youth, women, and various professional cadres.

Territorial networking and new departmental headquarters

Following this significant mobilization, local party officials formally outlined their strategic roadmap for the upcoming period. A pivotal moment of this expansive journey was the inauguration of PASTEF’s permanent departmental headquarters in Linguère. This event officially marks the launch of an ambitious membership card placement campaign, designed to intensify local outreach and strengthen the party’s territorial network through dedicated proximity work within the department’s villages and neighborhoods.

A call for unity and broader engagement

In conjunction with this internal restructuring, local political leaders issued a solemn appeal for unity. This rallying cry extends not only to long-standing militants and sympathizers but also warmly invites political actors from other formations who share a common vision for the territorial development project championed by PASTEF. This inclusive approach aims to foster broader collaboration in the realm of African governance and local progress.
