Niamey honours Morocco’s Throne Day with strengthened nigerien ties

The Moroccan Ambassador to Niger, in partnership with the Nigerien Minister of Foreign Affairs, formally launched the 27th anniversary celebration of Morocco’s Throne Day in Niamey. This significant event highlighted the Kingdom’s key achievements under the leadership of King Mohammed VI.

The ambassador, Mohammed Iboumraten, underscored the profound changes Morocco has undergone in infrastructure, industry, geopolitical positioning, and social protection systems. «The Kingdom has revolutionised its automobile, aeronautics, agro-industry, pharmaceutical, and renewable energy sectors, fundamentally reshaping its production landscape», he explained.

Strengthening the bond between Morocco and Niger

The celebration also served as a platform to showcase the deep-rooted friendship and cooperation between Morocco and Niger. These ties, rooted in history, have grown stronger through shared initiatives across multiple sectors.

«Our partnership is built on historical depth, solidarity, and a shared commitment to enhancing bilateral relations in politics, economics, security, culture, and spirituality. His Majesty’s unwavering support for Niger is evident in two royal visits and a consistent drive to foster a balanced and mutually beneficial alliance», the ambassador noted.

A festive and unifying atmosphere

The event concluded with a warm, celebratory gathering where officials, diplomats, and guests exchanged ideas and celebrated this milestone anniversary together.
