Mor Tallah Gueye, former President of the Board of Directors at the Fonds de Développement des Collectivités et des Usagers de l’Information et des Communications (FDCUIC), has announced his resignation from the position. His decision comes as a clear statement of solidarity with Ousmane Sonko, whose political vision he continues to champion.

The announcement underscores Gueye’s commitment to the principles he has long defended—sovereignty, systemic change, and a break from entrenched governance. In a public statement, he emphasized that his decision was rooted in unwavering loyalty to the movement led by Pastef, the political party founded by Sonko. « We believed in this project of transformation, one that challenges the status quo and delivers real change for Senegal,» he declared.

Gueye’s resignation is not an isolated act. It reflects a growing divide within the party and the broader political landscape. « The system we fought against is creeping back, and I refuse to be part of its normalization,» he explained. His departure follows a similar move by the National Patriotic Youth Coordinator in Touba, who relinquished a presidential advisory role earlier this week, also in support of Sonko’s ideals.

These decisions highlight the deepening rift between those aligning with the current administration and the loyalists who remain steadfast in their allegiance to Sonko’s vision.
