The diplomatic relationship between Morocco and the Philippines has evolved into a cornerstone of mutual growth, according to Leslie Baja, the Philippine Ambassador to Rabat. As the two nations marked half a century of official ties last year, he emphasized the need to build upon this foundation for future cooperation.
Speaking from Rabat, Ambassador Baja highlighted the depth of the partnership, citing frequent high-level exchanges, the signing of key agreements, and the strengthening of people-to-people bonds. He described these elements as “the bedrock for the next fifty years of collaboration.”
Economic ties have also seen a marked improvement, with bilateral trade experiencing a significant uptick in recent years. While trade volume has surged by nearly 50%, both sides agree that untapped potential remains vast and opportunities for deeper economic integration continue to grow.
