The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) have reported eliminating close to 100 armed individuals during coordinated military operations in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat.
According to an official statement, the operations targeted fighters from the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azauad Liberation Front (FLA). The statement also noted that the missions included 13 airstrikes, resulting in the destruction of six combat vehicles and a pickup truck.
The army emphasized that these operations took place on Tuesday and are part of an ongoing military campaign against armed groups across the country. Forces are maintaining their commitment to conducting operations “with discipline and firmness,” it said, while continuing to collaborate with international partners.
A statement from Russian Africa Corps on the platform previously known as X confirmed the destruction of multiple militant vehicles and highlighted the use of a drone to strike another vehicle transporting ammunition and military equipment. The Corps described the missions as “successful joint operations” alongside the Malian army and vowed to continue targeting militant positions and logistical assets.
