The Prime Minister of France, Sébastien Lecornu, is set to arrive in Rabat on July 15 for his inaugural official visit to the country. During this trip, he will jointly chair, alongside Morocco’s Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, the High-Level Moroccan-French Joint Commission on July 16. The summit aims to bolster bilateral collaboration across key sectors such as energy, defense, and economic development.
This high-stakes meeting marks the most significant diplomatic engagement between Rabat and Paris since Philippe Lalliot assumed his role as France’s Ambassador to Morocco. The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening existing partnerships and exploring new avenues for cooperation that align with both nations’ strategic interests.
The agenda will cover critical topics including renewable energy initiatives, defense procurement, and trade agreements designed to enhance economic ties. Both leaders are anticipated to sign frameworks that will cement long-term collaboration in these pivotal areas.
