The dispute centers on allegations that Ousmane Sonko, the current President of the National Assembly and former Prime Minister, had given his consent to a financial debt restructuring. Khady Diène Gaye, who previously served in the cabinet alongside Abdourahmane Diouf, expressed her absolute shock at these statements. She made it clear that she was utterly stunned to hear such claims being attributed to the Pastef leader.

In a direct and uncompromising response, the Pastef official accused Abdourahmane Diouf of spreading outright fabrications. “Dramane has failed everywhere! And now, we are seeing grotesque lies!” she declared, expressing her deep disbelief that anyone would suggest Ousmane Sonko supported a debt restructuring agreement.
