Jordan expresses unwavering support for Morocco after foiling terror plots
Jordan has strongly condemned the terror plots foiled in Morocco, reaffirming its full solidarity with Rabat in safeguarding the nation’s security and stability. In an official statement released Monday, July 6, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates denounced attempts to disrupt public order and threaten lives and property across the Kingdom.
Ambassador Fouad Majali, the ministry’s spokesperson, emphasized that Jordan stands firmly with Morocco and backs all measures taken by Rabat to protect its citizens and uphold national security.
The statement follows the announcement by Morocco’s Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations regarding the dismantling of highly dangerous terror plots at an advanced stage. Based on precise intelligence from the Directorate General for National Security, simultaneous operations led to the arrest of radicalized individuals in multiple cities across the country.
Preliminary findings indicate that these suspects were operating with logistical and operational support from the ISIS branch in the Sahel region.
