In a formal ceremony steeped in tradition, the newly appointed European Union ambassador to Chad, Amador Sanchez Rico, formally presented his credentials to President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno on May 19.
The event took place at the Palais Toumaï, with Fatimé Aldjineh Garfa, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in charge of African Integration and Chadians Abroad, in attendance. The EU diplomat was joined by Sona Jarosova, Head of the Political Section, and Karl Rawert, Head of Cooperation for the European Union Delegation in Chad.
This official act marks the formal commencement of Ambassador Sanchez Rico’s three-year mission in Chad, underscoring the EU’s commitment to deepening ties with the nation.
