Côte d’Ivoire’s economic growth drive gathers 700 investors for PND 2026-2030 talks

Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé delivered the keynote address at the opening of the second day of the Consultative Group for the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030, aimed at mobilizing private investment for Côte d’Ivoire’s ambitious growth agenda. The high-profile event, held at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan, brought together over 700 investors from friendly nations, underscoring strong international confidence in the country’s economic trajectory.

Addressing an audience of business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, the Prime Minister emphasized the critical role of private capital in driving Côte d’Ivoire’s development vision. He highlighted the gathering as a vital platform for fostering dialogue and aligning shared goals between the government and the business community.

« By joining us today, you are placing your trust in the resilience and growth potential of Côte d’Ivoire’s economy, » he stated. « Your participation is instrumental in transforming our vision into a competitive, job-creating reality. The success of this plan hinges on your ability to invest decisively in our shared future. »

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He pointed to the country’s proven resilience and adaptability, noting an average annual growth rate of 6.5% in recent years—a performance that places Côte d’Ivoire among Africa’s most dynamic economies.

« This is an economy on the rise, » he declared. « Today’s discussions will accelerate investments in key sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local raw material processing to boost value addition, and the development of critical infrastructure such as transport, digital services, and logistics. We are also prioritizing investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to build a more productive and inclusive economy. »

He also noted that the first day of the Consultative Group, focused on institutional partners and development strategy presentations, had drawn over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.

In a show of solidarity, leaders from Côte d’Ivoire’s business community and international partners echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Moroccan Confederation of Enterprises (CGEM) and President of MEDEF Afrique, and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), all reaffirmed their confidence in the Ivorian authorities’ vision.
