A cholera epidemic has gripped two provinces in Chad, including the capital N’Djaména and the northern region of Hadjer Lamis, resulting in 13 fatalities and 239 confirmed cases since July. Health authorities issued an official declaration of the outbreak on July 24, following initial reports of deaths on June 13.
