In a fresh call to attention, Chad’s opposition bloc has raised alarms over the escalating political climate in the country. During a press briefing held in N’Djamena on Wednesday, the political party Les Patriotes, a member of the former Groupe de Concertation des Acteurs Politiques (GCAP), highlighted what it describes as a tightening grip of authority, accompanied by judicial proceedings against multiple political figures.
The group also underscored a troubling rise in security challenges and deepening communal divisions across the nation. These developments come amid growing unease about the direction of governance and the stability of the region.
