However, the club chose not to exercise this right. Other top-flight teams, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia, have opted to delay their season openers to accommodate players’ participation in the prestigious tournament. Meanwhile, Balaídos’ renovation works aim to boost its capacity to between 40,000 and 44,000 seats upon completion.
