Yaoundé’s Founders Museum hosts critical dialogue on democracy and governance
The Cameroon Bar Association made a significant contribution to a high-level discussion on democracy, governance, and the rule of law during the launch of the Founders Museum in Yaoundé. This event, organized by the US Embassy in Cameroon, commemorated the 250th anniversary of American independence, bringing together legal professionals, historians, and policymakers.
A delegation from the Cameroon Bar Association, led by key figures including Secretary General Me Serges Martin Zangue, Treasurer Me Adeline Fouegoum, and regional representative Me Philippe Memong, engaged in a panel discussion focused on the pillars of democratic governance. The event provided a platform for exchanging ideas on institutional excellence and leadership in the context of strengthening democratic frameworks.
Me Zangue, speaking on behalf of the Bar Association, emphasized the essential role of lawyers in safeguarding fundamental freedoms, advancing justice, and reinforcing institutional integrity.
