Senegal’s President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has inaugurated his new political party, KIIRAAY – Les Patriotes Républicains, during a landmark event in Dakar on Saturday, July 25. During the assembly, delegates unanimously elected Bassirou Diomaye Faye as the party’s president. This decision marks a strategic shift in his political trajectory, following his resignation from PASTEF’s leadership at the outset of his presidency.
