Smooth university of Lomé enrollment process for new and returning students

Master the University of Lomé registration process with this step-by-step guide

The University of Lomé (UL), Togo’s largest higher education institution, processes thousands of first-year Bachelor’s students and returning undergraduates annually. This academic year, the university has streamlined its enrollment procedures through digital transformation, making the process faster and more transparent for all applicants.

What you need before you start

Prepare the following essentials before you begin your online registration:

  • New Bachelor’s students (LMD 1): You must hold a valid BAC 2 diploma or an officially recognized equivalent qualification.

  • Returning students: You need your UL matriculation number and evidence of having successfully completed the previous academic year or met progression requirements.

  • Active contact details: A valid email address and a working mobile phone number are required to create your student profile and receive real-time notifications.

  • Digital payment options: Be ready with an active Flooz account (T-Money or Moov Money) or a linked bank card to pay registration and tuition fees promptly.

Five simple steps to complete your UL enrollment

The entire registration journey now takes place on the University of Lomé’s official digital portal. You can access it directly via daas.univ-lome.tg or through the dedicated RESUP platform.

Step 1: Account setup and online pre-registration

Visit the Academic Affairs and Scholarship Directorate (DAAS) portal and create your student account. Enter your personal information, upload your BAC 2 results, and select your preferred faculty, school, or institute.

Step 2: Upload supporting documents

Digitally scan and upload all required documents in PDF or JPG format: a valid ID, your BAC 2 certificate, birth certificate, and a recent passport-sized photograph.

Step 3: Pay tuition and registration fees

Use one of the approved payment channels—partner banks such as Ecobank, BTCI/IB Bank, or the university’s integrated mobile money system—to settle your fees securely.

Step 4: Confirmation and academic clearance

Once payment is verified, the DAAS team reviews your application. A digital clearance certificate (quitus) will be generated and made available in your personal dashboard for download.

Step 5: Medical check and student ID card

Attend the mandatory medical examination at the UL Medical Center (CMUL). After clearance, collect your biometric student ID card from the designated office.

Original documents to keep on hand

While the pre-registration is fully digital, you must still present the original or certified copies of these documents during academic or examination controls:

  • Certified copy of your birth certificate.

  • Certified copy of your Togolese nationality certificate (for nationals) or valid passport/residence permit (for international students).

  • Original or certified copy of your BAC 2 certificate.

  • Academic transcripts from Grade 10 (Seconde), Grade 11 (Première), and Grade 12 (Terminale).

  • Printed copy of your registration form from the UL portal.

  • Bank or electronic payment receipts.

Pro tip: Adhere strictly to the deadlines published by the DAAS. Late submissions often lead to penalties or automatic rejection. To reduce server congestion and ensure a smooth experience, begin your registration as soon as the portal opens.
