SENEGAL POLITICS

Dakar, February 24 — Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko and his cabinet ministers will face parliamentarians today for the quarterly session of actualité questions, a constitutional obligation to review government actions as outlined in Article 104 of the National Assembly’s internal regulations.

Scheduled to last 202 minutes, the session will feature 14 questions: ten allocated to the ruling Pastef-Les patriotes group, two to the opposition Takku Wallu bloc, and two to independent lawmakers. This structured dialogue underscores efforts to enhance transparency in public governance.

The session, the fifth of its kind since the government’s formation, will be chaired by Ismaëla Diallo, First Vice-President of the National Assembly.
