Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS, a prominent holding company, has officially confirmed its acquisition of SICTA (Société Ivoirienne de Contrôle Technique Automobile), the long-standing leader in Côte d’Ivoire’s vehicle inspection sector.
During a press conference held in Abidjan on April 29th, David Fofana, CEO of Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS, discussed the successful takeover of SICTA and highlighted the significant progress achieved since its integration a year ago.
This strategic acquisition allows Mayelia to inherit SICTA’s remarkable 50-year legacy of expertise while simultaneously infusing it with a renewed drive for innovation.
A key objective articulated by the management is to substantially enhance the customer experience. This ambition is well-supported by Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS’ proven track record; the group previously set new industry benchmarks by reducing waiting times to just 30 minutes with the launch of Mayelia Automotive, demonstrating a significant transformation in service standards.
The company is committed to aligning with the government’s “Zero Complacency” policy, positioning itself as a vital partner for the State in its efforts to bolster road safety and decrease fatalities on Côte d’Ivoire’s roadways.
Beyond its core automotive inspection services, Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS has evolved into a rapidly expanding multisectoral group, driven by a pan-African vision and a strategy emphasizing activity synergy. Operating across two nations, the Group currently oversees six subsidiaries engaged in critical sectors like mobility (Mayelia Mobilité), technology (CIEIRIA), and training (Mayelia Academy), alongside its comprehensive vehicle inspection offerings (Mayelia Automotive Côte d’Ivoire, Mayelia Automotive Guinée, SICTA).
